Surface
Preparation:
New or Newly Sanded Wood Surfaces: Make several passes with the sandpaper,
increasing the paper fineness with each pass. The final pass before
application of Last•n•Last Marine and door spar varnish
should be with a #100 to #150 grit screen pad or sandpaper. Remove dust
completely
by sweeping, vacuuming and wiping the work surface with a lint free
cloth lightly dampened with water. The work surface and room temperature
should be at least 65°F.
Previously Finished Wood Surfaces:
Remove old finish in poor condition. Screen the work surface with #180
grit sand paper, maroon pad or similar. Remove dust completely by sweeping,
vacuuming and wiping the work surface with a lint free cloth lightly
dampened with water. The work surface and room temperature should be
at least 65°F.
Application:
Apply the finish with the grain of the wood. Apply in well ventilated
area with a good quality brush . Avoid applying the finish in direct
sunlight or let the uncured coating be exposed to moisture. Screen the
work surface in between coats with any of the following #180 grit sand
paper, maroon pad or similar in between coats. Remember to vacuum and
tack thoroughly after screening to remove all dust. Allow minimum of
two hours between coats, or until thoroughly dry. Heavy finish application,
high humidity or lack of airflow will extend drying times. If waiting
longer than 24 hours between coats, sanding is recommended. A minimum
of 4 is recommended on unsealed wood; 3-4 coats on previously sealed
wood.
Drying
Time:
When applied according to directions, and in thin coats, Last•n•Last

effective cleaning product for all polyurethane coated surfaces. It
has a unique soap-free, no rinse formula which will not harm polyurethane
or varnished wood surfaces.
